They're made of 100% cotton with 100% polyester fill, the same premium fabric as the Sonoma Stitch Quilt. The all-cotton shell construction gives them their beautifully textured hand and warm neutral tone, and it's what lets them hold their softness and shape wash after wash.

They have an envelope closure: the back panels overlap so your pillow tucks neatly inside with no zippers or buttons showing. It keeps the finish clean and lets the shams lie flat, so the stitch stays the focal point whether the bed is made or unmade.

The shams are the cover; you add your own pillow or insert to fill them out.

Yes. They share the same soft checked geometric stitch, 100% cotton construction, and warm neutral tone, so they coordinate directly with the quilt. You can buy them together in the Sonoma Stitch Quilt Bundle.

You can, though like most decorative shams they're made for styling rather than nightly rest, so the textured stitch is more at home dressing the bed than under your head. Most people set them at the back of the arrangement and sleep on their pillowcases.
